Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya, MX Aplril 21st.- From 14 to 19 April, 45 meeting planners were in the Riviera Maya to get the Certification Meeting Management (CMM), a major title that distinguishes only the best professional meeting and convention segment.
The Certification Meeting Management Program is an intensive course lasting five days and eight hours of daily work which is delivered by MPI (Meeting Professionals International), and is aimed at strengthening social skills and abilities of the organizers of conventions and meetings, providing them with better tools for planning and conducting meetings and events.
The MPI is an association founded in 1972 and has more than 23 000 professional members in the business tourism segment in 86 countries. In Latin America only Brazil and Mexico have a chapter of this organization.
During the program meeting planners participate only with at least 10 years of experience as well as professionals and industry leaders with proven work in logistics, budgets, personnel, contracts, marketing and communication-oriented segment of conferences and conventions.
This is the second year that the certification is carried out in the Riviera Maya; with support from the Mexico Tourism Board (CPTM), through its Office for Meetings Promotion, and the Riviera Maya Destination Marketing Office (FPTRM).
It was at Paradisus La Esmeralda Playa del Carmen where the Certification Meeting Management (CMM) was held.
With this type of event, the Riviera Maya continues on the path to position itself as the destination for conference tourism and convention in Mexico.
